OBS camp day 3

It wasn't until day3 that I found out that most of the watches had to kayak 3/4 of ubin...some even had to go across the mangrove swamps..thank god we didn't. Dean and Mario's pretty kind huh..The Most Memorable thing in OBS was tt day..when Mario posted us 3 challenges to challenge...

Couldn't sleep well..the ground was to rocky and uneven to lie on. woke up at 6.30..packed up and had breakfast. lol..when it comes to throwing the litter away..Dean told us to bring it with us till we reach the other base camp. haha..We didn't give a damn..Jean threw it into the grass and we pretended tt nth happened.. *did you see that? No..I didn't..* Xiang Long spotted a bee hive not far from our tents...phew..luckily we were not attack during our entire stay there. Time to pack our bags and leave for our trek to the new camp site..lock and load. We emptied our Jerry cans..hmph..we didn't want them to become a burden for us during our hike as they are freaking heavy..haha..so we were trying to find ways to get rid of the water...who want to wash hand? who want to clean things? then we kept wasting the water...even though our hands we alittle bit soiled...we still washed our hands. Once it's empty we had to wait for Dean to get ready..we forgot to tell him what time we were setting off so he overslept...

Andy, our scout boy..led the way..it's good to have a scout around at such a time..haha..although my history teacher in sec sch label them as people who only know how to "Tie Knots and Climb Trees"..she forgot tt they know how to read maps too..haha..Mid way Columbus and Da gama went seperate ways..columbus went to the old camp so that ker ling could get the metal poles for his tent..for the entire night yesterday they used camping sticks to support their tents..so the tent seemed short and saggy...lol..poor ppl..well..We got to the old camp and we re-filled our bottles and tried to lighten our load in our back packs.. Hiking was so much easier and faster than kayaking..although we had to carry heavy loads..it didn't matter..at least to my point of view. We reached the new camp at around 11+...pretty fast..

The new camp was more than a chalet to me..lol..it looked as beautiful from outside as it is from the inside. Well paved pavements..Sweet looking flowers..healthy looking young trees..unlike the old camp..where not a flower could be seen and the trees were droopy. Pitched our tents near the beach..wOoOo hOoo..windy..got sea breeze..but it was scorching too..I quickly applied some lotion upon seeing my hands going red.. Hope it gets this windy during the night! Had lunch near the medical centre..and paulin joined back with us after her short departure yesterday night when she complained tt water had gone into her ears making her uncomfortable...then we met Mario and Dean at the pool side.

haha..while waiting for Dean..we talked cock together with da gama..Mario cracked lame jokes..and tt's when i found out he was from the same sch as me. lol..then he issued the first challenge to us..He gave us a long rope..da gama one columbus one..and he told us to do skipping together..at least 8 times within a time limit. at first I tot it was pretty easy..haha..but I found out it wasn't. We couldn't complete 8 skips within the given time..haix..abit dissapointed..

Second challenge was the number punching game..there are a number of cards with numbers encircled in a ring..wat we're suppose to do is to punch the numbers in assending order and run back to our starting point. each of us are incharge in hitting their number in their area..and not all numbers are present..(for example: there are numbers from 1-22..but cards with numbers 4 or 13 are missing..) haha..columbus clocked the fastest time~!! from 33secs to 22secs...yea~~!!

The Third challenge was the best. We were give PVC poles and ropes to built a raft..I didn't know a thing about rope tieing..haha..I just helped by lifting the poles when needed..and just followed the others n how to tie the ropes. Da Gama was quick..they finished far faster than we did..heh heh..but wait and see... We completed the raft on time..and after Got a short briefing from mario and dean..we set off first. And it was a good thing we did..lol..coz Da gama's raft couldn't move one bit...=P muahhaha..we were ahead..and shouting 1! 2! 1! 2!..*row row row your boat..gently down the stream~!!!* we even had time to relax and wait for the waves to push us to our destination..haha..but the raft was slightly slanted down more to the back..so Andy got wet..and when we stop paddling to relax andy would scream, " Eh hurry up and paddle la! my ass getting leh!" It was only when it started drizzle we paddled all the way to shore...when we almost reached the shore..the raft started to give way...two poles started to slant inwards..haha..wat a raft..build to last for the right amount of time..

went to wash up..boy was the washrooms clean..had a good shower..dinner was again maggie noodles..and it was only until we finished our meal at around 7-8..some watches came back from their expedition! Gosh..We heard from them that they kayak and then trekked here without any rest..and it was raining along the way. Kai Hwei, Ker Ling and some others decided to cook dinner for one of the watches..poor things..seeing them so wet..tired..they couldn't even walk properly. from then until 10+..we walked around the new campsite..talk cock..and slack around. Hehe..manage to persuade Dean and Mario to let us sleep in the campsite area..our tents were fallen and wet after tt storm in the evening. So Da gama and columbus got to sleep in a dark area underneath the pool area. Some of us couldn't sleep and we gathered at one corner sharing ghost stories and lame jokes..

It was midnight..close to 1...
