We more or less knew our music..like Ms Tan said.."we need to find our breakthrough to get the gold.." but how?
Mr A. Kept emphasising on our expression and the feel for the piece..espically for Lady Di..he hopes that we won't play the piece technically..
there was a few parts we needed to go soft..some parts we needed to go fast.. some soft..some loud..then he kept emphasising on the "third statement" during the nocturne..when we needed to go loud at one point..then suddenly go soft. i think that was my fav part of the piece..when I had to tremolo..wahaha! yea..loud and soft...then together with the alto 1s and the bass's melody..it sounded like a love song.. lol..
Then Mr A during one of his 'lectures' he told us this story from the bible about Jesus when he was young and when some pastors and priests were amazed by his wisdom at such an age.. then they asked..
"Little Boy..How Old are you?"
Then he told us that everyone will have different ways of emphasising that sentence..someone can emphasise on the word "LITTLE" .. while some may emphasise "BOY" .. so he told us we needed to take notice of some emphasis of the piece and we had to some how feel for the piece..
But I guess it's a little hard to feel for the piece..coz most of us don't know Lady Di very well as a person..in fact on the year when she passed away..we're just Primary 4! so we had difficulties understanding her sorrow.. and understanding what seemed to be a happy marriage for the once young and vivacious princess..
