My Dream of playing a solo piece in a concert is getting closer! haha.. lol..it's sounds kinda stupid..But I hope to get my own solo piece in future if there's ever a concert by the school. Lol..Well at least I got the chance to do a quartet with Qi ren, Samuel and Harris during the visit at SWAMI old folks home..but I guess after this expierence...I need alot more work to do to fulfil this aim.
Hehe..We met a 3.30 at the foyer and it was freaking hectic..The quartet players had only practiced their piece once yesterday and today we practiced it another 2 times only..lol..so we're abit shaky with our notes. And Eevryone was busy doing their own things..the band preparing to load their instruments..the whu shu packing up..the CO bringing their own big instruments..wahaha..everyone was like scurrying like ants..but after all we manage to get things done and leave the sch for the home.
Gosh! It's freaking hot! and yet the choir members and the interact club kids wanted to walk all the way from yishun to the chong pang bus station? yikes..haha..in then end the guitar members took a cab instead! haha.the cost of each person would be just about the same as taking a bus there..lol..wahaha..guitar ppl very slack la..lol..then we get to enjoy the air-con while the we watch the choir ppl slowly walking..lol..cholly!
Got there...we're the earliest of coz..lol..and we got there and we were the second to perform. hmmm.. our first song was "Jamacian Rumba"..haha..sadly it can't be heard well...but it pulled of quite ok. wahaha..farruca rox! I guess it was a time when we're most in sync and we really strummed the chords and the hit the running notes well. But As I looked at the crowd..I realised after playing these 2 songs..the old folks could hardly apprieciate this wonderful music..but for the sake of expirence and preparation for the SYF..we had to play farruca. Yea..then it was the quartet! ahha..we played "in the sky" but I had trouble with my notes cause the score sheet kept falpping up and down when the fan was blowing in our direction and I couldn'd read most of my notes! haix...but It went pretty well considering we only had 3 practices..lol..=P
