Well...it ends today..it stops today...But Mario says our OBS had just started...
Mario and Dean couldn't accompany us for long..Dean had to go back to the mainland to do some business talk...he's actually now not a regular instructor here..he only helps when there they are shorthanded..whereas for Mario..He had to catch a plane wit his family to go on a tour in USA..LA..disney land..haha. Well..The last day was nothing much at all..cleaned up our store..and check if the things are still there..checked that nothing was missing.
Then Mario gave us a de-brief together with Da gama..In his words..I only remembered this: "From now onwards..You'll finish your sneak preview of the outward bound. And it doesn't end here..when you step out of Ubin and back to Singapore..you'll start on another outward bound..another expedition to nowhere..you'll never know what's gonna lie ahead..that's why we never tell u what's gonna happen next during the 5 days." Which is kind of true...everyone had just embark on this unknown journey in life..who knows what lies ahead..haha..and some words or 'quotes' I won't forget from our instructor is.."you have a choice"..."it's a choice..you decide" and Dean always says tt..since day 1 when he asked us to choose from taking our ground sheets or dismantling our tents and re-build again...and till day 4 when he told us to climb the elements or not. Then He talked abt stepping out of the comfort zone bla bla...
Well..Dean and Mario left..and so during the ceremony when every instructor is giving out the certificates to his/her watch...Da Gama and Columbus seemed extremely quiet..haix..now I know tt Dean is unlike any otehr instructors..although he leaves us to do things by ourselves..he still would help along the way..give some advice..
Hmmmm..i was wondering..If I had gone through a more tougher OBS..like some others..go on a longer kayak ride..and trek non-stop in the rain..would I be able to take it? would I really be pushed to my limits? I've nv tried..buT im sure I have the confidence to do it..
